Burning fingers one year on

Hello All,   I Had burning mouth, feet, and hand syndrome all at the same time. The feet was the least of my problem but, my toes were still on fire and itchy. My mouth everything I put in it would seem to boil. I had to be very selective as to what to eat. Plus I could only use plastic wear. My hands were the absolute worst. They were on fire swellen like sausages and itched. They peeled like the devil as did my feet. This started at about my 3rd chemo treatment and lasted for about 5 weeks at least. Sue

recruirence of cancer in her2 positive

Hi Girls I don't post much either just read alot but, I had to chime in. This is my worry also. Being HER2+ ER+/PR+ . I had chemo then masectomy then 6wks radiation. I've been on herceptin since 1-23-08 and I suppose to stay on it for a year. Now I did radiation treatments at a local hospital because it was an every day treatment. That Dr. said to wait 2 yrs to do any reconstruction incase there is a recurrence. Now I just wish they would of given me a dble masectomy so I wouldn't have to worry. Because I really don't think I want to go through any more surgerys. Right now I have frozen shoulder and I'm in alot of pain nothing helps and I just want to get back to work and I can't work with 1 arm.  Sue

Herceptin & hair growth

Hi Girls, I usually just read and learn but, I just had to put my 2 cents in. I finished chemo 1-2-08 MY hair very fine peach fuzz. Then was put on Herceptin which I get every 3 wks. Herceptin was started 3wks out from the chemo. That was 1-23-08. Well by 3-18-08 I needed a hair cut believe it or not. Pre bc my hair was short, straight, brown. Now very thick only curly on the sides and back, flat on the top or straight you might say. Now if you can picture this head of hair I now have I am glad I have a sense of humor because I can't do a thing with it. And all people say to me is at least it grew back. Oh I forgot to mention 65% gray now. I read somewhere don't color your hair until you've been off chemo for 6 mths. But, I don' t know if that is true for Herceptin. So that is my take with herceptin and hair. Sue

Distended stomach

Hi Girls, So Leslie, what do I have to do to get rid of my chemo belly. Please be specific because I just finished radiation and I have to be on Tamoxifen for 5 yrs. And my understanding one of the s/e is weight gain. So I would really like to get my chemo belly under control. Any advice would be welcomed Thank You in advance. Sue

Bone Pain, arthritis or mets??

Hi Shiny Hello Wink,  I'm the early bird. I get up at 2 in the morning. Can't  sleep between the pain from arthiritis and having idopathicinsomniac ( a sleeping disorder ) I Don't get much sleep so I read alot. We have a Relay For Life in our area 6-21-08 . It's real nice when the sun goes down, hundreds of luminaria light the way under the stars to remember those lost to cancer, those fighting cancer, and those who have fought cancer and won. It's an all day event done very well.

Abdominal lymphodema?

Debbie thank you for your in put. It's probable weight gain. During chemo I had burning mouth syndrome all that would be easy to eat was pasta. So it's pasta weight I guess. Sue
