Blue,

I have told you before and will say it again,  you are always in my thoughts and prayers. I will also pray that you be relieved of the slings and barbs of others. Prayers and hugs.

Positive Obama thread

Felicia,

I think it's funny too. I think regular posters on this thread recognizes satire and appreciate it. A friend sent me a link to the "Onion" the day after the election, saying that a black man had gotten the worse job in the country and that his first task would be to clean up the mess the white folks made. Yep, that sums it up.

Did you feel the excitement in the air

gsg,

I loved what you said about your grandmother. My grandparents set a great example for us as well. They worked hard, paid their bills and taxex, every thing good citizens did, except they were not allowed to vote. They voted for the first time in the 1968 election and there were National Guards outside the polling places to make sure they were allowed in. You see, they were black citizens, and therefore not able to take part in the election process. Because of what so many people have been through and sacrificed for equal rights, I am morally obligated to vote in every election.

    Ladies,

I agree completely about folks from "the other side" constinually demanding to know why we support Obama. It's the only smart thing to do, duh!! I guess in their missionary-like zeal they are trying to save our political souls.

Amy, I don't put it pass the them to have Homeland Insecurity raise the alert level to red plus the day before the election. Fear worked in 2004.

I must ask why people who do not support Obama feel they must come here and tell us what to think. As to homosexuality being un biblical, that is a discussion on how one interpretes the bible. Un American?? Is there something in the Constitution that I missed in school?

I'm speaking only for myself, but please, PLEASE stop coming here and berating us for our beliefs. You go  your way and we'll go ours.

    Shirley,

I think suggesting that Michelle Obama pose for a picture on the Aunt Jemima box is racist. My opinion. I never said this thread is private. I don't understand why someone who hates Obama would continue to come here and expect to see negatives posted or accepted without question. I voting for Obama because I believe he is the best person for the job. Why are voting (I assume) for John McCain??

    Shirley,

I'm late in answering your question, but why do I have to explain why I'm voting for Obama. I don't believe any of us have asked why you and others are voting for McCain. Do you think we're going to change our minds because you are jumping up and down mad? And why a re you gracing us with all this crap?
