Acne!Ok, I have never not had acne -- and I am 42 now. It seemed to be tied to my menstrual cycle and sometimes stress-related. My skin has been generally pretty good over the past number of years as I stopped sweating the small stuff and relying more on faith. That changed this week; actually it changed after I had a breast MRI. Could it be a reaction to the contrast agent they injected? Incidentally, my dx at this point is Type pT1b, 1 cm, grade 2, ER+/PR+/HER2- and I have not had any treatment yet. |

Well Today Totally Sucks!!Hi Wendy. Good news is that they FOUND it! Ok, it does suck that it's there but my fear is always that they FAILED to find something that was actually there all along.... Anyway, I believe God is bigger than cancer. Look at how you have been blessed (and not the trials He has put you through) in the past and you will know He loves you (as do many others). He will get you through this if you let Him. He must be preparing us for something big to put us through the trials of BC. {{{{{{{{Hugs}}}}}}}} kaylie |

My sister doesn't want to hear about my bcBoy can I identify with these posts! I told my sister about my IDC. She lives in Toronto, I live in rural Ottawa, our parents and relatives in centretown Ottawa. She hasn't bothered to phone or email since I gave her the news.... but she has since emailed my husband to ask for "tourist tips" for a trip to Montreal that she is planning in May.... not that she's planning to stop in Ottawa along the way, regardless of the fact that she hasn't bothered with any family members in Ottawa for Christmas, New Years, birthdays or Easter. It really hurts because, if the shoe were on the other foot, I'd be calling to say I am on my way, not asking for tourist tips. That's why I thank God for giving me a "family" of friends. Even co-workers I barely know have shown deep caring and concern. |

Ottawa?hello everyone, I am new to this site. You seem like a great group. If I may introduce myself: I live in the amalgamated Ottawa but the area was originally south Rideau Township. I am 42, married (14 years), mother of two (son aged 13, daughter almost 10). I discovered a lump in my right breast this past winter, saw GP for initial exam in January followed by U/S and mammogram, was referred to surgeon and had lump taken out mid-March. Pathology report came back March 31 - IDC, 1 cm, Stage 1, Grade 2, 0/0 nodes, ER+/PR+ HER2/neu-, failed to clear margin. MRI and another u/s followed. New lump found only in MRI - same breast, same quadrant. Now slated for MRI biopsy of new lump. Anticipating lumpectomy (to re-excise original tumor and to excise new lump), sentinel node biopsy and rads. I am hoping no one has to go through this awful experience alone because it's hard even when surrounded by wonderful friends, family and co-workers. God bless all, Kaylie |
