Constant Discomfort with Implants

My implants were placed 11/13~~~and yes, the Iron Bra is in effect. I have tried wearing a light sports bra the last 2 days~~~no relief. I will see PS in 8 hours, and hope that this is normal.

At least they are soft and I can lie on my side!

Anyone in the DC metro area know if a good wig resource?

Dear Beth: Here is a source for really nice wigs. Eivind did a wig fashion show with BC survivors at one of my cancer luncheons, and people are still talking about it.

Good luck!

I can't get my act together and I don't know why

Wish, buy that nice man a space heater for Christmas! He needs somewhere warm in that house~~~besides bed, of course!Wink

I can't wait to try the short ribs, Nancy!!

ISunday, I made 2 fresh wreaths for local arts center with 3 fellow Garden club members. The greens cost $70!! Coulda bought them ready-made, or found better greens in my yard~~~they were too stiff and dry, despite being gathered in the rain.

Oh yeah, the lovely front-door garland that lit when put away??? Hah!!!

It's still dark out here, Deb! I have been gathering evergreens by the dark of the moon~~~neighbors don't mindWink. I have two Garden Club members coming in a few hours to make 2 wreaths for a local performing arts museum. This will the be the "halt leading the blind"!!

I am thinking of you daily and praying for you nightly, our dear Kentucky Warrior Queen!

Prayers for Deb C

Deb, I have begun to think about Christmas~~so have begun "ridding out", as my grandmother said. I started with the box of cards, etc. I received after my surgery in February. I saved some that were special to share:

Each memory holds the promise of a brighter day ahead.

Wishing you healing days, hopeful days, brighter days~~~

because you mean so much to so many.

Faith, have you plans for a family band? A touring choral group to accompany you? Laughing

Deb, I wish we were hearing from you! I went through all my cards and flower tags from my surgery last February tonight, and saved a few with special messages. Here's one for you:

Each morning holds the promise of a brighter day ahead.

Wishing you healing days, hopeful days, brighter days~~~

because you mean so much to so many.

Love from all the Slone Rangers!

I can't get my act together and I don't know why

I am ignoring the mice conversations, in hopes they will ignore me. The 185+ restaurants in my town attracted....rats. Tongue out

Nancy, we could set up crock-pots of your short ribs! I do have a 100-cup coffee urn that I bought at a sale benefitting the Studio Theatre. I have never gotten to use it, so this would be great! I use Melitta coffee, better than Starbuck's! Wonder if we need a license?

Why is it so hard to lie down flat with expanders?

I haven't lain flat since February 24~~~the day before my surgery! Now, with implants (why is my chest so tight?) I lie on my side, afraid of somehow dislodging them, despite high-impact sport bra and binder!

I know our day will come, Suze!

Dancing with the Stars

In 2001, Burke married Dr. Garth Fisher, a plastic surgeon at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. They have two daughters together: Neriah (named after Playmate Neriah Davis) and Sierra Sky. In 2005, Fisher and Burke filed for divorce, and their divorce was finalized in 2006.

On August 21, 2006, she announced that she was engaged to actor/singer David Charvet. They have two children together: a daughter named Heaven Rain and a son named Shaya Braven.

Dr. Fisher is said to be responsible for her lovely DD's, and I don't mean Neriah and Sierra!!!

Lance was rumored to be gay and finally "came out" in July 2006,  in a cover story for People magazine. He says he is "straight-acting" and loves beer and football. This program and his progress in dancing wil be a big plus for him; he's on the tour.

HAPPY BI-PARTISAN THANKSGIVING!!!

May your stuffing be tasty
May your turkey plump,
May your potatoes and gravy
Have never a lump.
May your yams be delicious
And your pies take the prize,

February 08 reconstructions?

Am I the last to report and we can officially retire this thread? My implants "cored in" and the PS had to order bigger implants, resulting in 7 hours of surgery and a night in hospital. That's behind me now, and I am in an underwire sportsbra and binder~~~ugh! I did get a Spanx Bra-llelujah with underwire in nude for going out.

My post-op papers indicate that the next step is no underwire, then underwire optional. There's still that tightness, but the softness is reassuring. No icing on the CupCakes for 6 months~~~we'll see!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!
