IDC, Stage I, Grade I, 1.8cm, her2/neg, ER+/PR+

Nikki, my diagnosis was very, very similar. The only difference is I had a few isolated tumor cells in one node.  I was still considered node negative.  Because of those few nasty renegade tumor cells, I am doing chemo.  taxotere, adriamycin and cytoxin, a total of 6 treatments, every 3 weeks.  If not for those few cells, the onc said he would not have recommended chemo.   I think you have made the right decision.  I have really had second thoughts about my decision to go ahead with the chemo. But, I am in, I have my 3rd treatment this week.  God Bless you.

Distended stomach

I have the same problem.  That bloated feeling is miserable.  I would also be grateful for any advice on how to deal with it.

Thanks!

anyone ever consider not going thru the chemo

Hi Carla, I started chemo TAC x6 in April. I had my second treatment on May 1.  I have really been battling with the decision as well.  I was nauseated for the first 5 days after the first treatment and constipation was awful.  I really wanted to tell my Dr what he could do with the chemo.  The 2nd treatment was not quite as bad, but still felt bad and had stomach issues for 8 days.  2 down and 4 to go. Whew....We can do this!!  I have decided to ask the dr for anti depressant meds.  It is hard dealing with the emotional ups and downs. maybe that will help.
