Success Stories!

This is an excellent thread.  I had breast cancer, surgery March and April 2008, and I feel like I am a ticking time bomb waiting for a reoccurance.  I hate feeling this way.  Any ache or pain I feel I think it is cancer.  I am positive by nature, but this on took the legs right out from me.

Monavie

I have been taking Monavie for a couple of months now and feel a lot better.  I also have an immune system problem and my immuneologist recommended that I use it.  I found that I have more indurance and feel more energetic.  I don't think it is a cure all, but I think it has helped me.

Ribs and muscle aches

Hello,

I am new to this forum and appreciate any feedback anyone can offer.  I was dx with IDC in March, had surgery to remove the tumor 3cm x 11/2 cm on March 31 then April 14th to clear the margins. The lymph nodes were negative.  I had mammosite radiation starting April 28 to May 2nd.  The cancer was stage IIa.  There was a three percent differential as to whether I have chemo or not and they weren't sure chemo would help.  I opted not to have chemo.

I have been doing well until last Wednesday when I woke up I could hardly move because the muscles under my rib cage, mainly in the back were so tight I couldn't take a deep breath.  My husband called the doctor (I could barely talk) and was put on Tramadol.  I am still hurting a lot and I am scarred the cancer has spread to my bones.  I am not sure if I should call the PCP or the onocologist.  I am very scarred and even afraid to call the doctor.  Has anyone else had this happen to them?  Does anyone else have the fear of cancer returning?  Any ache or pain, canker sore, or swollen fingers and toes I think the cancer has returned. Am I crazy or what???

new to this thread

Hello,

This is my first time on this tread and just found the website last night.  I hope I am writing in the correct place as I have never done this before.

I, too, have IDC.  I was diagnosed March 6, 2008, had a lumpectomy on March 31 the tumor was 3 cm, second surgery to clear margins on April 14th, had mammosite radiation for five days and now must decide to have chemo or not.  I am hormone receptor positive and had the oncotype DX test, I have a reoccurance score of 15 which put me in the low risk range for chemo.  I need HELP!!  My onc suggested chemo, but the differential is only 3% and they aren't sure chemo will help or not.  I must make a decision this week.

Please, is there anyone that can help me in this hard decision since both onc I saw said it is up to me as to what to do and they can't advice me do to the small percentage.

PLEASE HELP
