I'm a wife to Jim....a mother to Kara, Rex and Eric....and a grandmother to Kayleigh and Kaden.
I was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. Still trying to grasp it all......not sure I really ever will!

The power of prayer...I went to the Dr. today. Have to go see my surgeon tomorrow. My oncologist thinks my chemo port is gonna have to come out. I had a low grade fever today and this thing just won't heal right! It just keeps getting infected. My back has really been bothering me a lot, too. He's gonna just watch my back.....to see if it keeps hurting. If so I have to have another bone scan done. He's hoping it the Neulasta they give me for my white cells. I was also borderline anemic today.....could explain why I've been SOOO tired lately! hugsssss to you all......and thanks for your prayers! Genia TCH for 6 tx's followed by Herceptin for 1 yr and Tamoxifen for 5 years. Will be finished with chemo on Jan 7th!!! Dx 7/24/2008, ILC, 6cm+, Stage IIIa, ER+/PR+, HER2+ |

Chemo in Sept 08This one has been so much trouble for me. I've been on antibiotics 3 times for infection in it!!! So my oncologist says it needs to come out. But I'll have to see the surgeon to see what he says......cause he put it in there. I hate to lose it.....but on the other hand.....my onco said it's dangerous if it keeps staying infected! I had a low grade fever today when I went in his office! He thinks it's from the port........UGH!!!! TCH for 6 tx's followed by Herceptin for 1 yr and Tamoxifen for 5 years. Will be finished with chemo on Jan 7th!!! Dx 7/24/2008, ILC, 6cm+, Stage IIIa, ER+/PR+, HER2+ |

The power of prayer...Good morning ladies.....hope this day finds all of you well!!! I'm feeling much better now. I have one more week before my next round of chemo. Seems to be the pattern. One week of feeling good then more chemo. I have 3 more rounds.......so I'm at the top of the hill now.....goin down the other side! I appreciate all those prayers for me. They sure make a world of difference.........can't imagine not having God on my side during all this. I'm so happy to have each of you in my life........especially you Debbie. Chemo in Sept 08Didn't know that Lili........I had mine done when I went for my yearly visit after my lump was diagnosed.......but before the chemo started. Chemo in Sept 08Jane....get one of those pill trays......so you can count them out and then you can look back and see if you have taken it!!! I have to do that with my medicine or I would forget half of it.......or take too much of something! TCH for 6 tx's followed by Herceptin for 1 yr and Tamoxifen for 5 years. Chemo in Sept 08Well HECK I'm DOOMED!!! Cause sugar is a staple in my diet.....lolol I LOVE sweets......I mean LOVVVVVVVE sweets! Can't give em up......I've tried. The way I look at it......I could give them up and get hit by a car the next day........what a waste!!! lolol I have given up the alcohol....for what that's worth now that I am putting my body in sugar overload! Heck I might as well crack open a cold one and just DO IT RIGHT! I suddenly feel my cancer growing in leaps and bounds........UGH TCH for 6 tx's followed by Herceptin for 1 yr and Tamoxifen for 5 years. Will be finished with chemo on Jan 7th!!! Chemo in Sept 08LOLOL....Donna you are hilarious woman!!!! Webcam off........lol CONGRATULATIONS sweetie.......I'm so happy for you! I swear I almost get as excited when one of you are done with your treatments as if it were ME.....I sit here with tears in my eyes when I read it!!!! Whew.....now they are rolling down my cheeks! Chemo in Sept 08Sounds like I'm gonna be all alone with my chemo.......cause you all are gonna be finshed. :( I still have 3 more to go.......UGH......at least I'm to the top of the mountain........and will be goin down the other side my nex tx! Gotta keep tellin myself this........or I would park my big behind at home and not finish them! I swear it's like mystery chemo.........ya never know how you're gonna feel!!!
