Scared but no DX yetoops, I noticed it did not bring up the picture but if you put Inflamatory Breast Cancer in your google bar then go to the top and hit images you will see charts with progression and pictures. These helped ease my mind alot . Also remember IBC is VERY rare. |

Scared but no DX yetHi Laura, My name is Julie. I found this site too when googleing some of my symptoms on my breast. I was scared to death. My dr. ordered a MRI and I just had a biopsy...waiting for results. But I wanted to tell you that I was really afraid but the surgeon that did an exam of me and did my biopsy said he does not think it is IBC. I am telling you this because we can work things up in our minds that are not true...I will be praying for you tonight and for God to grant you peace through His son Jesus. From what I have read it sounds like most IBC has a VERY itchy breast too which you don't sound like you have. My process has taken about three weeks and after i talked my doctor into giving my antibiotics I have cleared up a bit. I had a swollen breast, extreem pain but no other symptoms except a slight thickening on my left breast (I am also nursing my baby) This is a good picture of progression. If you have anything that looks like this I would not hesistate to go into emergency for you peace of mind. I have a 17 year old son too. Hugs and prayers of peace, Julie |

Need adviceI had a MRI last week due to extreem pain in breast, and a swollen breat. No other symptoms of IBC. I have also had a hard time in the last two weeks in sternum pain, especially while sleeping. My MRI came back with extreem inflammation and some concern about seeing something on my lung. I didn't put 2 and 2 together till I got home and realized that something on my lung could be cancer that has spread and I am very scared. My dr. is ordering a breast biopsy and cat scan of lung next week. My question is should I ask him to order a punch test (i have no idea what this is but see others talking aobut it) too? Does something spread to the lung hurt in the day? I don't cough just pain. Please advise and tell me my dr. is doing the right thing. Julie |

mri and ibcI had an mri today after a gamma xray showed a problem in my left chest. The mammogram didn't show anything so they did schedule the mri. I have a swollen left breast (still nursing and this is my son's favorite side) and extreem pain on my left side. The nurse that took me in for mri said it will tell me if I have IBC as it shows everything. Is this true? Please help, I see my dr. for results on Friday morning. Bless you all, you are all so wonderful. Julie |

Please Help!Oh, I forgot to mention. I nurse mainly on the left side and it is swollen. No discoloration or anything but swollen for a few months. I thought is was because of nursing mainly on that side until pain came. The doctor did not put my o antibiotics for infection because he said my breast did not look infected. |

Please Help!I am a semi healthy 43 year old mommy of five, the youngest (just turned two) I am still nursing two times a day, Last month while shopping I got a pain in my left chest. I came home as it really hurt. I had never hurt there before. In about two hours I could not even stand. My husband made me to to our towns emergency room, we thought I was having a heart attack. It was a burning sensation around my whole chest and back and a sort of painful cramping. The techs did a ecg and everything looked fine and I was feeling a little better except the pain on my left side (axillary lymph nodes I think) The doctor said my white blood cells were a little high but he wasn't worried but wanted me ot take a two day stress test which I did. The good news is my heart is fine but the gamma test for the heart showed a "finding" in my chest. My doctor then sent me for a mammogram and the tech said she did not see anything but my breast are real dense and since the gamma test showed something and I am high risk because my mom had breast cancer in her late 50's that they want a breast mri (scheduled for next week). I am just going out of my mind with worry. I can not find anyone else who had that initial pain that I had...does anyone know about it...I really have never hurt in my breasts before and since it came on one month ago I deal with the pain every day and it is hard to sleep. It burns and hurts 24/7. Does anyone have any idea what may be going on or suggestions on how to proceed. The MRI is on tuesday. Thank you, Julie |
