Only in Canada eh? ReconstructionHi Sue! I don't know when I'm having my expander put in. I am on "The List". You were smart to have yours done at the time of surgery because now it is a waiting game. I'm really small busted so I will have to have implants on both sides to even things out. I don't mind, it will be the boobies I never had. I was a little concerned that my doctor said it would only take 6 weeks to expand my skin enough for the implants but I guess he knows what he is doing. Anyway, hopefully it will happen sooner than later. Thanks for your information. |

Only in Canada eh? ReconstructionHey Sue! I'm going to have an expander put in and implants on both sides. Does the expander cause alot of pain when you have it filled? How long did they tell you it would take to be ready for an implant? |

Only in Canada eh? ReconstructionHi BMac! I to had a mastectomy in April. I was reading about your problems with surgeries, etc. and I just had to sign up to talk to you. I live 2 hours from Oakville but I am going to have reconstructive surgery there because I found Dr. Stephen Brown and he is great. I am have implants put in because I am also very tiny and I have had previous surgeries that won't allow for a tram. I highly recommend Dr. Brown, he has a wonderful bedside manner and he has explained all of my options latissimus dorsal flap. I really don't have enough there for that proceedure either. Anyway you might like to talk to him as he came highly recommended from a few of the nurses at Oakville hospital who have had work done on themselves by him. |
