I am 23 years old and I was recently diagnosed with stage IV estrogen+ breast cancer. I have three spots on my liver. I had the two lumos removed and I am on my second monthly treatment of hormone therapy. Both breast will be removed this winter. I feel and look fine. I don't know what to expect. Will my health decline? I know that cancer in the liver is not good and I just don't know what kind of future I am looking at.

There's another website for young women as well, www.youngsurvival.org, that you might want to check out. How you will do all depends on how well your mets respond to treatment. On a side note..I just had both breasts removed on 11/2 and I had tissue expanders placed in (my permanent implants are on hold because of the chemo) but I went through my surgery extremely smoothly and am soo happy with the results...it was a lot easier than I thought! Goodluck. Sam |
