For about two months, I've been having a strange feeling/ tingling/ awareness in the upper, outer area of my left breast, similar to the feeling of "milk letdown" (for those of you who breastfed.)
Being high risk, I immediately assumed it was BC-related, but someone recently suggested that it may be hormonal and related to pre-menopause.
Do any of you ladies relate to these feelings or have a suggestion to what may be causing them? Thank you!

I'm not aware of any sensations that go along with breast cancer. I think it's a fairly silent disease. |

Aimers I definitely relate to the "letdown" feelings. As menopause approached I often had those feelings and sometimes even felt my breasts were swollen (similar to milk engorged). I think hormones are really fluctuating at this time, causing these feelings. I was past menopause when I developed breast cancer and didn't feel any sensation, pain, anything out of the ordinary until I felt the lump. That being said, if you are high risk be sure you keep up with regular exams and mammograms. |
