Thank you for that. I am in Moberly MO. It is 36 miles north of Columbia which is dead smack in the middle of the state between St Louis and KC. My doc did recommend a PS but he does not the DIEP or the TRAM flap procedure. I really want one of the 2 of those. I am going to see another tomorrow afternoon. To say that I am nervous is an understatement. This really sucked for me when my mom died when I was 19, I cannot help but think of my 4 yr old little man.

bb...I so sorry to hear you so frightened by the headline.  I would like to help calm you just a bit.  I know how scary this can be.  I had cancer 19 years ago and it was a very hard battle.  I was lucky to stay well for 19 years and now I have diagnosed with Breast Cancer.  I have no fear it is soooo much easier and medicine is soooo improved.  The treatment is like night and day.  I did my first chemo and have had very little side effects (se's).  The se's 19 years ago and my chances of recovery were terrible.  I have no fear and I can see the major improvements we have made in 19 years.  Please know that we have made soooo many advances in breast cancer in the last 19 years...it is not what your Mom was offered for treatment.  I can only imagine how frightened I would be so know that i will keep you in my prayers.  You can do this and get well.  Hang in there and good luck with your search.
