Hi, Annie,

Can't imagine what might have been said, but do at least consider that Rachelp is quite new to the boards here and should not be the arbiter of who posts and who doesn't. Probably she doen't even want to be.

As a long-timer here I'd like to invite you to reconsider your decision: we all profit from the opportunity to share one another's struggles, and I can't think of a worse part of this journey than the WAITING for a diagnosis.  Hurry back!

Annie,
Do please reconsider.  I sense that we've been helping each other through this miserable journey, and I don't mean me personally.  Your sense of humor and intelligence are more than welcome here and if we can help you make it through this waiting period (the worst, as Binney says) then you belong here.

Hi all --

You already know me too well. Can't stay away; I feel like I've joined a sorority.

OK. First question -- how many of us are blonde and how many brunette? Or used to be either one? Bottle-blondes count as blondes, and Clairol brunettes count as brunettes. I'm making a statistical study involving crocodile-skin shoes and women with different hair color.

On a more serious note, Shelle and I both get our results today. Please send good wishes in our direction.

 Hugs to all,

Annie

Now, you don't want to give us one more thing to worry about by not being here--alien abductions can be quite serious, and we don't want to start to have an X-Files case if you disappear!!

All paws crossed here for good results today.

Hi Anne,

I am glad you stayed.  Don't let anyone have that much control over what you want to do.  Sadly you can run into idiots no matter where you go.  You have to just weed them out just like everywhere else.  It is better to forget about the few weeds you run across on this site a concetrate on all the beautiful flowers you encounter Laughing

I am personally neither a blond or brunette.  I am a red head by birth as well as by the bottle, when it was needed.  Currently I am on the bald persuasion.  As for the shoes it would have to be fake croc shoes.  Don't do any type of real animal material.

Good thoughts and prayers are going your way today.

Keep laughing,

Jenny

Hi all,

I overreacted. Just didn't expect to actually be scolded after what I'd been through; I had tried to keep a sense of humor about it. Oh well.

My daughters are both redheads -- my favorite hair color! Actually, I was setting the scene for a silly blonde joke, but if we'd had more brunettes on the site, I'd have made it into a brunette joke. Here goes:

A (insert hair color here) girl hears she can get beautiful alligator shoes in New Orleans, so she goes there to buy a pair. At the first shoe shop she tries on a pair she loves, but the price is so high she can't afford them. She goes to a second shop; the price is too steep for her there too. Third shop, idem.

Finally she tosses her (insert hair color or bald head here), and decides to go down to the bayou and get her own alligator so she can have she shoes she's always dreamt of owning. Down to the bayou she goes (insert Cajun accent here -- my husband is a New Orleans boy and I love his accent). The owner of the third shoeshop is really curious about this intrepid (insert hair color or bald head here) woman, so he secretly follows her to see how she's going to catch her own alligator.

He finds her down on the bayou, hip-deep in slimy green water, with four or five alligators on the shore, all crawling back into the water. She's wrestling with yet another alligator, finally slinging him over her shoulder, and carrying him back to shore where she throws him down on the bank.

"Oh no," the girl with (insert hair color or bald head) exclaims in distress. "This one isn't wearing shoes either!"

Love,

Annie

PS: I'm also a vegetarian, by the way, and won't wear leather either. But I thought the joke was funny. ;-)

Love the joke, and glad your back. btw I am dk brunette with natural silver highlites. After my last hair appointment my dh actually asked if I had the highlites added by the stylist!!! He said he never noticed them because I was trying a different style that was parted in a slightly different place. And no I don't want to color, I love the metalic look.

Yay!

I had a feeling you'd be back soon!

Hopes, prayers, crossed fingers for you and Shelle!

My hair: born blond, gradually became brunette by age 5, spent a summer as a henna'd redhead, now a lot of silver mixed with natural light brown, so looking sorta blond again...
