I agree!  I have a nodule that was noticed on my post tx PET scan.  Biopsy was B9, thank God.  I did tell the radiologist that it's more unnerving watching a needle go toward your neck rather than your breast. :)

I'll tell you what my onc told me as I was blubbering.  "Most nodules are harmless.  I'm an onc....I like to read path reports."  Said like that it made sense...cuz after calming down...I felt the same way.  I wanted to KNOW for sure it was b9.

The biopsy was simple.  I had a small bruise on my throat is all.  Keep us posted on how it goes.

Take care,

Bugs

idash, yeah, I totally agree with you.  After being dx, it seems like there is always something going on. I found out that I too had a nudule...it's on my lung, it's stable for now....yea...still don't know what it is.  I have read that alot of women here have lumps and bumps inside them that are harmless.  I hope everything goes smoothly for you!!! Sending you giant hugs and prayers.

Julie,

Yes, they numb the area.  I felt some pinching...but that's about it.

My endocrinologist told me that if you scanned everyone's thryroid, 80% of people would have nodules.  I have them and they are b9 (as far as we know).  It could just be a sign of hyper or hypo thyroidism.

yes my doc told me the same thing about everyone having nodules on over their thyroid  the only reason he is biopsying it is its a teeney bit over 1cm  there are 2 others that are tiny   i am not too concerned about it but of course as it gets closer to friday i start to think more   and of course after being dx with bc they check everything that shows up   just had a colonoscopy a few months ago  i had a perfect colon !  but my bro who was otherwise healthy had a colonoscopy last week at 54 and had a cancerous polyp   now he has to go for further surgery   ugh ugh ugh  like i said  - its always something    -

It isn't fair Julie. I am sorry that you are having to deal with this. I am hopeful that your thyroid will be just fine.

Hi Friend, I am fighting the same battle, But they have not checked them(7 nodules) They found them on a cat scan and said they dont look like cancer. I am so very happy that you are able to get them checked. Makes me want to fight more. Good luck and Myprays are with you. Debbie

Jdash, I am so happy for you! Its a happy dance day. I will work on looking around to get mine checked. But my insurance say if it does not look like cancer in a cat scan then they do no more. I will be walking the Relay for Life the 16 and 17 of this month and hope to ask around. The medical field doesnt cover my lymphedema wraps to wear either and its getting worse. They are not as open with helping anymore. Sad but true. Take care, Debbie

they dont cover your lymphedema wraps??? wow  that is ridiculous

cant you fight with them over that ?  can your doctor write some kind of prescription for them?  that seems so unfair!!!

i have a sleeve i got many yrs ago when i had my first dx but i am lucky enough not to have used it much and dont remember if they covered it

i would fight them for reimbursment on that

i had such a great time at the relay i did at umass amherst

enjoy the survivors lap

YIPPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! I am so happy the results were benign. I also could have added that most people have nodules and nodes on their thyroid, but it wouldn't have reassured you until you had the results of your own biopsy.

Now enjoy your summer. Swimming pools, picnics, barbeques, kids, relatives, friends, dates, movies, popcorn, soft evenings on the porch.

Love,

Annie

I'm sorry jdash, I know how you feel and I hope that you get better soon.  I had bells palsy years ago after they pulled a tooth, it scared the shit out of me and I was given pain relievers and muscle relaxers and told to hope it went away.  It did after about 6 months.

And your right it's always something, now I have two cysts on my kidneys and they sure as hell weren't there on my last CT scan.  Hate this disease that just keeps on giving.

Have a wonderful mothers' day tomorrow.  What are you doing?  I'm doing nothing my son has to work and my other son is way up north and my mom is an hour and half away and my check engine light is on so I'm hoping for sun and believe or not, I'm going to suntan. With sunscreen of course and a big hat, going to try and make my legs look good,  joke!
