Hi ladys thank you for the advice on the coffee. That is one thing i cant give up.Its the only thing that helps with being tired. The one problem I have is my diet.I havent been eating good for the past month.I do excersise alot.I live on a fixed income, and I go to the food bank at the end of the month.I have two small kids.Welfair says I make 40 to much to get foodstamps.I was doing good there for awhile and then lost to much weight, then I had a full historectomy 6 weeks ago.Foodbank food is food to get you through its not real wholesome, but it keeps you from going hungry.I'm so afraid that the food that I have been eating will bring on a reacurrance. The first two weeks of payday I eat real good. The last two weeks not so good. Can any of you ladys think of ways to eat good on a low budget...any advice would be great.....godbless roxy

I shop at Aldis. It is a lot cheaper than any other grocery store. Do you have one in your area?

Roxy, Beans and legumes are a great way to eat healthy and keep it really cheap. Unfortunately, convenience foods that are healthy, organic and with no preservatives such as org frozen entrees tend to be expensive. I am vegetarian so we eat beans, legumes ,veg and yogurt with rice/bread at every meal. Lots of homemade soups with veggies and beans for protein. I shop at local Mexican, Indian and middle eastern grocery stores for produce as it tends to way cheaper than grocery stores and we spend a lot of produce every week and stick to Trader Joes for everything else.
