I had a stereotactic bx on 4/17 & am scheduled for a mast next week. I am noticing some hardening or lump-feeling at the 2 bx sites. I wonder if is natural healing process? Anyone else experienced this? Everything scares me right now! Thanks

My guess is that it is just scar tissue. Since you're having surgery next week, I wouldn't worry a minute more; it'll come out and you'll read about it for sure in the pathology report! KL www.pinkribbonreview.com

I'm not sure, but maybe it could be a hematoma or seroma -- a collection of blood or fluid that usually dissolves and drains away. Might be a good idea to check with your doctor. S/he may want to know about it before surgery. Good luck. Mary D. DCIS / stage 0 dx 11/18/02; lumpectomy 12/02/02; radiation 1-2/03; tamoxifen 1/13/03 - 1/12/08
