Hi All
Any advice or research that you are aware of, for triple negs, metastatic disease to lungs. Just found out 2 weeks ago, that I have metastatic disease, DAMN! to lungs... triple neg. Awaiting surgery to determine pathology, hoping it has changed to hormone positive... fingers crossed.
Any tips welcome
Joanne

Me, too. Diagnosed originally in July 06, liver/bone mets discovered a few weeks ago. Am on Abraxane, will add Zometa and Avastin next week. They did a liver biopsy yesterday, am also praying this has some hormonal component. Amy weebles wobble but we don't fall down

Sofeemay and Amy, I usually hang out on the mets board but I just checked by here. So, so sorry you both have been dx with mets. Also check out www.tnbcfoundation.org. There's a new forum for metastatic ladies, and we're getting to know one another. Brenda dx triple neg in 2005, mets to mediastinal nodes 12/07 , chemo Jan - April 08, remission 2/08; CT scan 4/08 showed one healing spine lesion, currently on chemo break, followup scans scheduled for late July; fingers crossed for no progression!

Hi Joanne, One of the women above mentioned Avastin. I'd like to add the fact that Avastin has been used for primary and metastatic lung cancer in Europe for several years with great success. It was approved for breast cancer in the USA this past February. I hope you discuss this possibility with your oncologist, and please keep us updated on your progress. Love, Annie |
