Hi

I have been on zoladex and tomoxifen for just over 3 months, and I've just got my period (last one in Feb). Is this normal, or does it mean that the zoladex is not working? Would really appreciate any comment on this

Regards

Call your doctor.  You should not have a period after month one.  They should check your estradiol, LH and FSH levels too.   Are you getting Zoladex every month or three?  Many feel that the every month shot is better at suppressing ovarian function.  You may want to try Lupron since it has a higher dose.

Tamoxifen is trying to stimulate the ovaries since estrogen is low (thanks to Zoladex).  Your zoladex treatment may not be enough to keep them suppressed.

Let us know what the plan is.   Good luck!
