I am a 49-year-old survivor diagnosed in Aug 06 with 1cm IDC, Stage I, node-negative, ER and PR positive, Oncotype DX 9. Original oncologist said no chemo, radiation, or Tamoxifen was need. I was nervous and thought I should have Tamoxifen, but every three months I saw him he said no! Then in Jan. 06 he decided I should have it. Second opinion doc says no need. Now what to do? Have I missed a window of where it will do any good, or are the risks for uterine cancer too great? Please help. I've read and prayed and am currently overwhelmed.

Hi. I take it that you had a mastectomy? Are you post menopausal? The risk of uterine cancer is greater if you are post men, but still a pretty low risk. Dcis May 2007, 4mm, low to intermediate grade, no rads er / pr +. Tamoxifen September 2007 |
