Hi gals,
Mylast trip to Texas showed a lesion on my Liver. They changed my chemo to Gemzar/Tarceva.
Has anyone else had much expierence with any of these drugs?
Thanks

I am on Gemzar and Avastin. It's been one month so I don't have much to report. The best part is I'm not throwing up!!! |

I know a little about Tarceva. I haven't taken it, but my uncle is on it and a girlfriend just started it. I do know that you can get a rash from the Tarceva and if you do, one of the things that will help with a Tarceva rash is Clearasil acne medicine. My best friend has been on Gemzar and they added Tarceva a week ago, due to liver and lung mets now. She was very nauseated every day this past week, but she has advanced pancreatic cancer and nausea is also caused by that kind of cancer itself, so it's hard to say if it was caused by the Tarceva or the cancer. When she was on Gemzar alone, she would always vomit one time the day after chemo and that would be it as far as nausea. Other than that, she had weakness from the Gemzar and hair thinning....but not baldness. Good luck to you, Kim. I understand it's a very effective combination. Pardon me if I repeat myself. Can't remember jack.
