In each box with my prosthesis is a cloth cover w/an opening. Can someone tell me what this is for?  It is too small for the prosthesis.

Thanks

That is probably a breast form cover. It's meant to be used over the breast form if you wish to wear the form in an unpocketed bra. Or sometimes it can be used as an extra shield against perspiration through the pockets. The cover should fit very snugly and, hopefully, look smooth under your bra. Perhaps you were given the wrong size. In any event, it might be a good idea to take it back to your fitter and have her take a look.

I use mine all the time (but then I live in the desert, where sweating is a year-round hazard Tongue out). I find they are too small and they tend to move around and get crooked if I have the seams on the inside, so I always use them with the seams on the outside. That way they fit well and stay put on the prosthesis. They have to be washed so I usually order an extra cover when I get new prostheses.

Be well,

Ah thank you ladies!  I really don't think the prosthetics will fit in there but I'll give it another try.  Thanks again,

Does anyone have a problem with your bra straps coming off your shoulders.  I tighten them and they still fall.  My breast surg. said that its a common problem with mast and prosthesis.

GEECH,

If your bra straps fall down, try using wardrobe or fashion tape.  It's double sided tape made to be used for revealing clothes, to keep from showing too much.  It works great.  You can get it at Bed Bath and Beyond, Victorias Secret, and the Playtex, Hahnes outlets.
