I was dx with BC in June 2006. Found 2 lumps had double mast. Not in sent nodes, no chemo. Have cysts in liver, watching not worried. Have a lump in lungs we are watching. I had a PET scan in Feb 6th and chest CT only found hot lymph nodes between my lungs they think it is an infection but I was tested for infections and they were negative. I have a CT set for April 2nd to look at lungs again.

Worried because today I was feeling under my armpit and found a small lump. Very small pea size. It's hard and can feel with fingernail. I have never felt this part of arm before so not sure how long it has been there. What is wrong with me and all these lumps.

It's driving me crazy and worring me a ton. My hubby thinks I am crazy. He thougtht I was crazy when I thought the lump in my breast was BC, and it was.

I would be happy to hear others thoughts. Should I call doctor and tell him about this now? Just wait until the 2nd. However I am seeing the lung doctor on the 2nd? Should I call my Oncologist? I am worried about the lump under my arm....what could this be? Thanks.

I hate to go to doctors and I am scared what they will say. I understand how worry you must feel. From my experience the "unknown" is much scarier then knowing.Once you know, you deal with it. Good luck Honey and please, see your doctor.

I found a lump under my arm that turned out to be a recurrence. Have it checked out right away. Everyone said I was being paranoid but it turned out I was right. Follow your gut.

You haven't posted your diagnosis so it's hard to say more. If you've had an axillary dissection, it could just be scar tissue, as that's very common.

Insist on being seen soon for your own peace of mind. If it is a recurrence, a week or two of waiting probably won't matter much but it's important for your emotions to be seen as soon as possible.

All the best,
Darya

Please, please, please have the lump underarm checked out; because every lump is to be suspect.

My tumor was under my right arm and it was a hard mass.  But I tried to justify it to myself that oh, well, if it is not in my breast, how can it be breast cancer? Well, it was--my surgeon said the breast tissue goes all the way to under the arms and that my tumor was at the 'high end' of the breast tissue.  Good thing for me was that it took one cut to get the tumor out and to do the sentinel biopsy; the doc was able to cut along my underarm crease so the scar is not even visible now.  Good luck and best wishes to you; but please, please please get it checked out.
