i am in shock, mum had breast cancer 15 years ago and recovered well, from the 14th march she was breathless and tired taken into hospital on the 21st ( she walked in ) a week later we are told she has advanced liver cancer linked to the original breast cancer had weeks rather than months 2 days later mum died ( 31st march!!!!!)

i am still in shock she showed no symptoms of problems with the liver bowel and urine movments the same as always, how long had the liver cancer been there, why did it not show up earlier - would treatment earlier mean she would still be here?

within a week my strong wonderful mum ended up weighing less than 5 stone i know i am grateful that she wasnt in pain for too long but i cant make sense of it all?

i would love to hear from someone who can help x

I'm so sorry about your mom.  I don't know what else to say this bc never seems to want to stop.  If you go to the thread with reoccurance on it, it might give you some answers.  I just wanted to say that I'm sorry and write any time. Pearl

thank you for your reply, i am new to the site so unsure where i should be posting.....

i can't quite grasp what has happened, her original breast cancer of which she recovered brilliantly was 15 years ago and she found the lump only 6 weeks after my dad died of a heart attack and we thought the shock maybe started it off.....

i honestly never ever ever thought it could re-occur in a different part of the body but still be classed as breast cancer - i have learned quick though...

again thanks for taking the time to reply - i am from scotland and by your mom comment are you from america / canada?
