About 6 months before I was diagnosed with ILC in my left breast I had pain down my left arm and shoulder.  I was actually investigated for CVD (which of course was  not the problem).  A couple of months after getting the all clear, I had a bloody nipple discharge.  After some stuffing around, I was eventually diagnosed and the pathology report showed a 2.5 cm ILC in my left breast along with a couple of very small DCIS.  The surgeon and oncologist do not think that the pain I had in my left arm and shoulder were anything to do with the cancer but I wonder.  Has anyone else had a similar experience?

I have never had any nipple discharge. I have also had no breast/pain going down arm (besides associated with biopsies or excisions).

I think its extremely uncommon to have any signs of LCIS (and nothing worse.) It is very rare for LCIS to be detected on mammos or ultrasounds. Most of the time LCIS is detected only on biopsy as an incidental finding. Often LCIS is found adjacent to, and not *at*, the 'lesion of concern'. Its a weird condition.
