Topic: Hurricane Katrina

Hello, and thank you for reading this.
I am writing to get a sense of this on-line community. I am a nurse, and work at a large cancer center in the northeast U.S. In addition, I am finishing my dissertation proposal, and this website is one avenue I hoped might be helpful for finding women to talk to as part of my study.
I am interested in the experiences of women whose cancer care was, or could have been, affected by Hurricane Katrina. What I would ultimately be asking of participants is if they would be willing to tell their stories on the internet. Again, this is not a solicitation- I am just wondering what you think. Would women be interested in participating in something like this?
I am so grateful for your thoughts. I intend to do a very meaningful study which provides a voice for women who while battling breast cancer were forced to find ways to access care in the time of the disaster.
