I really don't want this to be made into a huge issue -- I already have enough drama to clean up here.

I deleted all my posts from the mojo without matrimony...

But, I just can't bring myself to erase the what do I tell my potential boyfriend thread...

Honestly, that's my story.  It's raw, real, and unedited.  And I know its not professional, and can technically be used against me, but I think those posts are really helpful.

I'm getting no feedback from the moderators here either.

grrrr.

Here's what I think, my chicas, FWIW....

It's absolutely awful to even think about the fact that someone here (and I guess there must be evidence that it was a poster and not some random "visitor"?) violated Beth's privacy by communicating the nature and content of her posts to her employer. Yes, it's despicable and very, very scary. BUT, I do think that we need to be realistic here. As much as we enjoy a warm feeling of intimacy among us here, we are, for the most part, powerless to really and truly know one another well enough to be completely safe in sharing confidences and intimate details, unless we're aware that these might be used against us in some way. There are many, many wackos in this crazy world and I'm sure this venue has its healthy share of them. Having breast cancer does not make anyone immune from mental illness or from being truly evil, in fact.

So it's a definite risk, for sure. Whenever you "publish" something....anything.....in a public forum, it becomes public property and anyone at all can do whatever s/he pleases with it. So, although I'd love to think that we are just a close-knit community of wonderful women sharing a common goal...to help ourselves and one another through the awful breast cancer experience....it's just not a realistic view because it doesn't take into account those who do not have this goal or even benevolent intentions.

So let's be careful, my friends, and carefully consider what we say here. For my part, I feel entirely comfortable with what I put out here, but I made that decision, with my eyes wide open, from the very beginning. Anyone who wants to quote me or discuss my opinions or details about my love life....well, they can effing bite me!

Beth......I haven't really spoken out about this but I think we should ALL read the negative post and if we don't like it ignore it like it was never there. Can we do that.??????

Oh by the way, some bitch called my boss and whatever, he laughed about it but he does want me to omit my last name. Fine, I realize now.....I shouldn't have done that in the first place.'

I have posted pics of me, dd, my dog and other fam members but for the most part, my avatar is not me, my real name is rarely used but it's out there. I really try to never say things that could be 'used' against me but we are all human.  I am not in a business where the things that I have posted would harm my job.  I don't think any of us have done anything immoral or unethical. For someone to try to hurt is just plain mean.

For me, the only person I occasionally think about is my ex .... I don't make postings as to where I will be or anything in the future .... I just need him to decide one day to be there.  I am quite sure he is "over" me but I don't need the drama if I have my dd with me.

At one time, I frequented a board that had a few forums that were "for registered members only" and you had to be authorized to visit that forum manually.  So the admin could admit you after your character had come across from your postings.

I'm boring have nothing to hide, and like Marin write with my eyes wide open.  But there are alot of new women who come to the site who don't know about this so I hope they read these posts and realize there is an asshole out there who is trying to hurt us women.  What the hell do they think they are doing I'm so angry about this I want to read all the posts I can and try and find a common denominator to try fiquire out who would be this nasty.  I just don't get it.  Why the hell don't the weirdos go to weirdo sites and leave us alone. I've been tied up with family problems and haven't had much time for the boards as usual.  Now I find this and I have no clue what's going on but it must be big!

Am I to assume we have to be very careful from now on and not mention anything personal about ourselves?  Do we have some sicko's on this board now.  :(  I put some very personal information on here in the past.  No that worries me...I might go delete it.  I don't know what's going on but I can tell its not good.  This ticks me off...all some of us have is these boards to talk to others that can relate with us.  I don't have anyone to talk to so I depend on these boards.  But I guess that has changed.  There always has to be bad apples to ruin it for everyone.
