47 is still a low number. a c scan will help to determine if the cancer is growing. You really need more information to see the whole picture. Hope this helps.

I have CT scans (chest, abdomen and pelvis) two or three times a year because of a different cancer. Think of it as preventive maintenance.

My CA27-29 started out in May at 491 and has come down to 389. I do think we're all different in what number constitutes progression. Had a CT in October and was stable.

Tumor markers provide a screenshot. They are an indication and usually considered when there is consistent movement over several tests in a row. As the others has said, numbers are personal. I am always between 30 & 40 and all the extensive tests show I'm NED.

I was diagnosed with stage 2 BC in June and my Ca 27:29 was 15. That was the only time my MO has run the test. Not sure I give much credence to those numbers. I‘ve finished TCPH and am on H &P now with a BMX scheduled for Tuesday. I also have cysts on my ovaries and my Gynecologic oncologist just had me do a CA 125. Not sure how I will feel when I get those results since the BC tumor marker was so wrong.
