hello, I have been having worsening numbness in feet, legs, and hands. Particularly on the right side. It started about 3 weeks ago but suddenly has gotten much worse, such that when I lay down my entire leg feels numb and tingly. I am also now starting to have lower lumbar back pain and am really worried this is a symptom of metastasis. I have an appointment with my oncologist, the waiting is agony. Anyone have this happen and have it be something else? Looking for some hope. Any idea of what type of test they will probably have me do? MRI, pet scan. Both?

I had similar issues that ended up being related to high blood pressure, although if I lay on my left side I still have tingling in my arm and leg. It comes and goes, but I think it happens less now that my blood pressure is controlled. I also was diagnosed with micro vascular heart disease.

Could also be peripheral neuropathy caused by the Taxol. It can appear many years after you finish chemo. You might want to ask on one of the neuropathy threadd.

When is your doc appointment? Traditional wisdom says if something doesn't resolve over two weeks, you should call the doc. I went to a neurologist with my pain and they have a whole regime of tests.
