I am two years from treatment of my second round of breast cancer. I had IDC in 2008 and Metaplastic BC in 2017. For both cancers I had lumpectomies. The metaplastic was in my left breast and that is the breast that is now showing a slight discharge. I was having a very slight twinge yesterday in the breast and last night while getting ready to shower I noticed a slight discharge on the nipple. I do have breast and trunk lymphedema and wonder if that might contribute?

Anyone else have a whitish discharge from the nipple that turned out to be nothing? I fear I now have something new to deal with. I have called in to the doctor and am awaiting a return call. Nerve wracking!

Thanks for any thoughts.

My nipple discharge turned out to be DCIS, but it took a while for that to be diagnosed because apparently it's more commom for that to be a symptom of an easily treatable bacterial infection, abcess, or benign growth. I hope it's one of those for you. Good luck!
