I haven't been visiting this site in recent times however I recently developed lower back pain. It's 4 years since I was diagnosed. It's not bad, it doesn't keep me awake but comes and goes through the day. My oncologist persuaded me to do a pet scan as he said it's the only way to be sure, which I do understand. I had my PET scan this morning and now I'm starting to really freak out. I hate the waiting game. Can someone try and describe what bone mets feel like? I'm grasping at straws here.

Thank you

I don't have any advice for you but I wanted to respond. I hope the pain your feeling turns out to be nothing serious.
For me the waiting is the worst.

Sending hugs and prayers to yo

Thank you for getting back to me. I hope it’s nothing. I just have to wait it out until I get the results. It’s hard. The gift that just keeps on giving

Hiphiphoray, my pain was pretty sharp and it did keep me awake, or at least was really hard to get comfortable, at night. My pain started in my hip and I actually thought that I might have a fracture. I did not have a fracture, but I did, in fact, have cancer that had spread to my hip, spine and ribs.

I'm glad you got a scan and hope you will get results soon. I think we all agree that waiting is the hardest part of this disease.

Let us know, yay or nay. You'll find a lot of support here.

HipHooray - I scrolled back through your posts. It looks like you had some kind of diagnosis & treatment in 2016 but I can't see that you ever reported back on what you had done and how successful it was. It might make a big difference how people answer this question.

Go to My Profile and enter your diagnosis (or more than one) and all your treatment. Then choose to "make it public", which means we can see it. Also your age might help.

Glad you saw your MO. Hope it's something minor. We'll be back when we have more details.
