Welcome to BCO!
Where do you feel these little lumps? That could make a difference in what they might be.
What was your diagnosis and what treatment did you have, other than the lumpectomy?
Meet others concerned about developing a recurrence or metastases.

Hi there, in most cases that could be fat necrosis or some normal changes after treatment. However, I had similar symptoms and it was recurrences of my original breast cancer. It's definitely something to have your doctors check out and monitor. It might even be good to get some imaging done. Hope that it's benign.

Just the lumpectomy. She took the nearest lymph node and it was negative for cancer. They are under the soft loose skin in both armpits and all around my abdomen.. Non on my arms or legs.

Your symptoms could be a lot of things, but it sounds like it should definitely be checked out.
What kind of cancer were you diagnosed with originally?

Yes, definitely get it checked out. Some times we can feel normal lymph nodes, which we have all over our bodies - and they do feel like small bb size lumps. I had very swollen lymph nodes in my groin years ago when I had shingles, and when I checked afterwards (that was not an area I had ever checked before), I noticed that I can feel many small normal nodes in the groin area.
So this could be something harmless, but it certainly warrants seeing a doctor.

I have a small lump on my chest near my armpit. My BS has ordered an ultrasound, although she said that there are a lot of benign things it could be. I hope it is nothing, and I'll feel much better after the ultrasound.
I agree that you should ask your doctor.

Ask your doc for sure. I had what was determined to be scar tissue that felt like many lumps and bumps even a few months after my surgery. The lymphedema therapist then smoothed a lot of that out though I still have some of those that I will get checked out again near future. As others said there are many possibilities for what these can be....I actually think what I have remaining is more still swollen lymph nodes at this point....

Just talked to my sister who has been nursing for 45 years (retired recently) and she said they were fat lumps from losing weight around my tummy and arms.. I kinda figured as much since it is a single layer of the same feeling all over my upper body, pretty much...I didn't think cancer could make thousands of little lumps, since the surgeon spent 3 hours removing about a tablespoon of flesh on my upper chest.. It was right where I rested the ipad at night to play farmville... The exact corner of the ipad was the spot I got it..Lesson learned... Anyway, thank you for all your help. With Love Sandy

Itsmylifeandresponsibility,
I have lost and gained lots of weight more times over the years than I could possibly count and not once has that left me wit “bb feeling lumps” all over my abdomen and under my arms. Please at least see your primary care doc

I agree with the others that it needs to be checked. It COULD be a lot of things, but you want to know for sure what it is. When I had my recurrence, my doc was 99% sure it was fine. I am 100% glad that I asked for further testing.
