I had a fall in the bathroom a few weeks ago and was experiencing some pain on movement so I had a chest x-ray.
My doctor's nurse just called me to state that the x-ray showed minor fractures on two ribs.
I have made an appointment to speak with my doctor tomorrow. In the meantime, could the fractures signal metastasis?

racy, Sorry you are uncomfortable with ribs fractures hope they heal quickly. Typically rib fractures coincide with trauma which you had with your fall. It's when unexplained rib fractures appear without any known trauma that may be suspicious. Yes breast cancer does metastasize to ribs in some cases and can cause fractures. Usually there is an underlying bone lesion that is the cause of the fracture when it's bone mets. Of course it can't hurt to follow up with your doctor, after all they are the experts. Feel better.

My guess is no. Sometimes a fracture is just a fracture. Best wishes!
