Welcome the Petition!

It is a unique place to not only add your name, but tell your story in brief.

However, to add a Post to this petition, You will need to Register with the Community if you aren't already. Below are the directions to register. If this is too difficult though, please send your name to petition@breastcancer.org.

To Register, please click on "Register" at the top right-hand of this page (in the pink). You will need to provide a "User Name", a valid Email Address, and a Password. You will have an email verification sent to you immediately upon registering, and you may then post.

To add a Post (Signature) to the Petition, click the “Add a Post” link on the right hand side of any of the posts in this Petition. Then add your name and age of diagnosis, and story if you would like in the " Post a Reply" box that will be provided once you have clicked on this. Once you've added your name and/or story, you will then need to push "submit" and you are done!  

Thanks for going through this process. Your name and information WILL make a difference, and you can come back and post again in the discussion boards any time with your new Community Membership.

    jennifer o-age 37..found my own lump with BSE at age 36. Digital mammogram confirmed. MRI found another in other breast.  We need routine screenings early! Was not at high risk for BC.

    Charlene Glassmyer, dx'd at age 42 while breast-feeding (Mammo confirmed lump that I just knew was cancer)  ~

     in honor of my friend lv2cmp, dx'd at 36 and died last month at only 41

    Anne Marie Flynn, diagnosed at age 41 Stage IIIC. I was told my cancer wouldn not have been large enough to be felt  for 7-8 years. It was already in 11 nodes. I am now 5 years out and NED.

    Colleen Creamer, dx at age 41, felt a tiny lump, which was not visible on baseline (age 40) mamm, aggressive triple negative cancer had already spread to my lymph nodes, now age 46 and NED

    AnnNYC, diagnosed at age 54 -- lump discovered through breast self exam was never visible on mammogram.  Multiple screening modalities are needed, for women of all ages.

    Deborah M. Ryer, diagnosed at 54, lumps could not be felt, mammo at 53 showed nothing.  Found IDC and DCIS. Digital mammogram saved my life!!!!

    Mother diagnosed at age 58, died at age 64.

    Marie Hebert, diagnosed with IDC at age 43 as a result of mammogram.  An MRI found a pre-cancerous lump in the same breast.  Left mastectomy performed in August, 2009.

    Karen Loomis *If it weren't for a routine screening at age 45... I don't know if I'd still be here two years later to sign this petition. Please don't change the screening guidelines.

    Joanne M - dx .age 40 (found on a mammogram)  microscopic and already in lymphs.  10 more years would have probably been too late.
