as reported by Xeni Jardin on Boingboing.net, the new issue of Archie has the story of a young woman who left Riverdale to find success and returns home to friends and family while she is in treatment.   In addition to treatment, will be addressing issues of health insurance coverage. Haven't picked up a comic book in a long time? I am going to get to the newstand before this issue is sold out.

Julie -Unfortunately, I can't bring up the site. I am thinking that my server has issues with the terminology maybe (boingboing)?

Seems odd for a comic strip to delve into such a topic, but it might be an interesting read. I honestly had no idea that Archie comics were still being published! Not even sure where I might pick up a copy - lol. I might have to track down a copy just to see how they are approaching and dealing with the subject of bc.

Thanks for sharing.

Apparently it won't be on sale for another four months, and I occassionally buy them for my daughters - they're displayed in our local Loblaws by the checkout.

Thanks mks16 - still no go though. Looks like all is well then I get a pop up stating that I can't open the site. Oh well. Will just have to keep my eyes open for the comic when it comes out.
