I posted this on Abigail's thread but I don't think it can be seen by the general population.
Here is a message from Abigail's sister.
"I've been meaning to write you this last three months or so. Erin (Abigail) died the end of July.
After two months in the hospital, family and friends arranged for her to move back "home." In this case it was her Studio where she did her paintings.
We arranged 24 hour care for her, and they were all absolutely super people. They loved Erin and she loved them. She had many visitors, and her paintings were appreciated.
She was so happy to be home! Her heart gave out in the end. She died surrounded by her art and friends, with Bob Dylan music playing in the background.
It was a shame she didn't add conventional treatment to her health regime, but it was always her decision, and she was stubborn as you probably know.
My other sister took care of a breast cancer diagnosis, and she is now fine. So I hope people on the site use a bit of common sense!
Please pass this on to people on the BCO"
She is at peace.

Thank you, Wrenn. I've thought about Abigail every now and again and have wondered about how she was doing. She certainly was an original character and I extend my sympathies to her family.

Wrenn - thank you so much for updating us. I have followed Abigail's threads with an array of emotions - from admiration, amusement, wonder, frustration to sadness.
I am glad to see she had such a full life and did have people who cared about her.
She seemed to bring out an intensity of emotions in a lot of people here. I knew if Abigail posted something opinions would start flying about and always looked forward to hearing both sides of the argument.
What an interesting life she had!
