  • my name is Jackie B from Ft Gibson, ok. I am 58 years young with IDC stage II with lymph node involvement. My cancer was found during a timely, routine mammogram.Right dab in the middle of A/C my hair was coming out in clumps and my precious hubby helped it off! It was very emotional for both of us but it brought us to a closeness unlike anything ever has. Even after 30 years there's still room to grow. I finished my 4 AC doses relatively unscathed but Taxol hit me hard. On my last Taxol infusion neuropathy hit me hard. I'm on drug therapy for that but still struggle daily with painful feet. I'm currently in the middle of 36 radiation treatments. I'll be so glad when this journey is over however I'm grateful to God for the journey. He has blessed me and others tremendously all through it!

Community has helped me find others going through same routine and very informative!! Being able to search for information and have discussions with others who are experiencing the same thing is so priceless.

Hello! I am 42 years old and live in NJ. I have a wonderful husband and four year old boy. I was diagnosed in October with stage 1b breast cancer. I had 3 surgeries-the first two were lumpectomies that were not successful and the third was a mascetomy. I had 4 rounds of chemo and finished in February. Just waiting for my hair to come back slowly but I'm getting there!

My name is Whitney Moon from Hayward, CA. I was diagnosed with stage 1A ER/PR/HER2+ IDC at the age of 27. I had a lumpectomy and ALND, did a course of fertility treatments to save eggs, had a portacath inserted, then had 6 rounds of TCHP chemo while also cold capping. That was followed by 30 rounds of radiation, and 10 more herceptin only infusions. My last infusion was 2/23, and my port came out on 2/25. I've met so many great women thanks to this site, whom I still connect with today. They helped me through my darkest times when no one else understood what it was like to go through these things. I've posted the first picture a few times, and the second is an updated version!

Diagnosed at 57 with ILC stage IIB in 2012, bilateral lymphedema. BCO has helped me by providing valuable information as well as camaraderie in various discussion groups. A group of us who had the same reconstruction in 2013 meet annually for a girls' weekend.

Hi everyone! So glad I found this community! Such great support! Just had a bilateral MX on December 5, 2016 with the start of reconstruction. I'm 58 years old and I live in Babylon, NY. This photo was taken on New Years Eve! I was able to get out and enjoy a lovely dinner with friends. So grateful I was out and about 3 weeks after surgery!

I had a left lumpectomy with rads in November 1998 DCIS and right lumpectomy with rads November 2006 DCIS. November 2016 again DCIS right side and had the bilateral. What an 18-year journey this has been! Same surgeons and main nurses all three times! Such a caring team!

I said to my oncologist the other day, "I've been seeing you longer than I was married to my ex-husband. Doesn't this mean I should get a diamond or something?" He said "The success of this relationship is based on the fact we don't live together!! Lol...too funny!!

I am humbled and honored to read everyone's posts! Such beautiful souls touched by this disease.

Keep smilin' ladies! Love you all for your warrior spirits! <3 God bless you all!
