Just wanted to say, I had been putting off my post-mastectomy (unilateral) mammogram. I think I wasn't acknowledging how traumatic my diagnosis experience was..I had to get THREE biopsies.
I didn't want to set foot in the imaging center again, to be honest. So I went two years without getting another one.
But I had a very small lump under the arm on the side of my still-natural breast, and I wanted to get it checked out. So my primary care dr convinced me to get a mammogram.
I'm relieved to report that everything was clear.
I practically skipped out of that office. I'm sure others can relate to the relief of going back to where you had your diagnosis examination, and THIS time, getting a clean bill of health!
