I finally have completed bi-lateral reconstruction (again, lol!) after a challenging surgical odyssey and would like to offer some items that I no longer have a need for. I would be happy to mail any of these items to anyone who needs them if they PM me a mailing address. I have an Amoena Marlena (Style 2167) pocketed mastectomy bra in brown, size 34D. This is a very nice and comfortable bra, a bit oversized in the cup outer fabric - you may need to be a very full D, or DD, for the cup to fit smoothly. I probably wore this bra twice. I have two binders, one put on after a regular surgery that I ordinarily would have had a surgical bra - it is fully elastic and called an Expand-A-Band binder, size XL, even though I am fairly petite in the upper body - weighed 125 at the time. I also have the type of binder used after fat grafting, with a firmer elastic quality meant for compression and Velcro closure, made by Zimmer. The binder does not have a size, other than it is 12" tall, but has a number of Velcro strips that allow for circumference size customization. I woke up from surgery in this binder but did not continue to use it because it was too tall for my torso. I have two surgical bras, both are Surgi-Bra by Cardinal Health, one in L, and one in XL. I wear a 34 bra band so not sure why these are sized so big, other than to accommodate bandaging underneath. These bras have adjustable shoulder straps. I have one pink, soft yarn, D cup Knitted Knocker with the fluffy stuffing. I have one size 6 prosthetic breast form which seems to be silicone but has a soft opaque outside shell, and one size 7 with fabric on the side that is next to the skin. If I send these items to you and you find that you can't use them, please attempt to pass them along to someone who can! Thanks!

Hello SpecialK, I wonder if your Large Surgi-Bra might fit me. I m in Europe so our sizes are different. Would it help to measure the circumferance under my breast regarding band size?

dafne - I looked at some conversion charts - I was wearing a 34 D/DD at the time of surgery but this bra accommodated some bandaging, so perhaps a bit larger - does the size you would be familiar with be 75E? I just measured under the breast and came up with 33 inches, which seems about 83-84 centimeters. Will that work? Can I please come to Greece with the bra?

SpecialK, please do come to Greece and crash my couch (proud Couchsurfing member here!) even without the bra! I really hoped ur bra would fit me as i m on a very tight budget right now, but i m afraid i m a good 10 inc bigger under the breast than you -almost 42. My european size would be 85C. It was always pretty hard to find bras in the first place having a broad back/sternum but not really big boobs. Thats what u get for 6 years of weight lifting as a teen!

I would love to come to Greece - it has always been on my list of places to visit! How fun would that be? I am sorry that the bra will not fit, they seem to be sized on the small end anyway - wearing a 34 bra I would not have thought I would need a large in the Surgi-bra. What I can say is that I only wore it for a few days and then switched to a very fitted tank style shirt that I could step into and pull up, and pinned my drains to the side seams. I find the surgical bras to be a bit uncomfortable because they have Velcro to adjust the straps and close the front, which irritates my skin. I spoke with another BCO member the other day who put a camisole under her surgical bra to protect her skin - that was smart! After the drains were removed I started wearing a regular stretchy soft bras until I was fully healed. Again, sorry the bra is not the right size! When is your surgery?
