Hello ladies: It’s that time of year again. My yearly mammogram is coming up again in a few weeks. I was diagnosed in March of 2019, surgery in April 2019. How does everyone get there head straight and just take these tests as they come. Will the fear of dread always be with me each time I have to have these done. Thank you for advise

The dread does lessen as time goes on. I have yet to get through a follow up without requiring extra pictures and then a six month follow-up, but, somehow, it still feels less terrifying then the first year check. Take a deep breath and remember that it is likely to be fine

Hi purplejc5, The first mammogram after radiation is hard. Some are worried about the discomfort, but It wasn't bad at all. I cried after, it was emotional for me. I just had my yearly this past August and it was easier. The thought is always in the back of your mind and I think that is a normal response. Best wishes to you.

I too struggle between the emotional and practical. I'm also going in this month. I started this year with a benign biopsy. Here's hoping we all can get good results and less worry with time !!!
