a thread for crazy cat ladies! I thought maybe just pics of your own cats, and if there's not enough then just any old cat you can find!
I have 8. Technically only 5 are mine, the others think they live here. Mostly because I feed them with everybody else and they never seem to leave!

A boy has got to have his nip. LOL
That reminds me of the time when our grade school librarian came to tutor our girls at the house. She grew catnip and would bring some to our two cats. It got so they were waiting at the door for her. One time after the initial treat, our big male snuck it out of her pocket, ate most of itand rolled off the sofa in a stupor. he had a nice looooong sleep.

Kath, I don't know what's in that stuff, but it sure makes them wild, and as you said, then very, very sleepy.

I went into the shelter sick bay one evening to do medications. A big cat named Freeway had been let loose to get some exercise. He had found a big plastic container of catnip, chewed out the bottom, scattered it all over the floor and was rolling in it. The other cats were watching with jealous expressions.
I read that only 50% of cats like catnip. The others have no reaction to it at all.

Freeway sounds quite exceptional!! I have also read that not all cats like catnip. Mine, like Freeway, roll around in loose catnip, making them a mess and the rug ready for the dreaded vacuum.

Freeway sounds like Arthur. We have given up keeping the dried catnip as he chews through any packaging if we forget to put it away. He also does the same with cat food pouches. We have to be careful to always lock them into the cupboard otherwise he will chew into the whole lot and mop the floor with gravy'n'cat-food.

Feline, That would be an awful thing to come home to. We kept catnip in the freezer. Our Marmelade managed to get catnip from the top shelf in the kitchen. I need a step stool to reach it!
