My daughter is 12. My ex husband and I talked to her last night about my diagnosis. She if very smart and observant and handled our conversation well so I dont know if she will need it but I was curious if there are any books for children that explain breast cancer?
Thank you so much

I hope CPB 1167 is able to find appropriate resources.
My wife and I have 2 daughters, ages 6 and 4. We bought "Cancer Hates Kisses", which of course is for much younger children.
Does anyone out there have young children?
How did you tell them? How did they react? Did it change over the course of treatment?
My wife will have a lumpectomy in about 1 month, then chemo, then radiation.

Just ran a quick Amazon search and found a number of currently available children's books https://www.amazon.com/s?k=breast+cancer+children%27s+books&i=stripbooks&ref=nb_sb_noss It's kind of a mixed list, but scroll through and see what might work for your daughter as far as reading level and whether or not it is specific to breast cancer or cancer in general. I don't have the background to recommend a specific title, but you can look at the reviews for each title. Many of the titles specific to breast cancer seem to be picture books but maybe you can spot one that might work for your 12-year-old. All the best. Ceanna
