Dear all,
There are so many people very educated about breast cancer here that I was wondering if anyone has some information about the efficacy of Tamoxifen in the first 3 years,as I am planning to interrupt it to try pregnancy.I started it 3 years ago and the plan is stoping now and resume the 5 years after pergnancy.
My oncologist says it is up to me;
I asked for a second opinion from a very known oncologist here in Portugal and he said it would be ok,even though there is not much prospective information about this;
Another oncologist related to the POSITIVE trial answered my e-mail and said the efficacy of tamoxifen in the first 2 years was shown in multiple studies.
They all say my tumour has a very good prognosis(Luminal A Grade 1, ki 67= 5%,1.6cms),but this is not an easy decision at all.
I’ve been struggling so much about this!
I can see that in this community some people can be more informed that doctors sometimes,so if anyone could give more information about this,or is in the same situation,I would be very glad to hear!
Thank you so much
