hi ladies,
I was dx while pregnant and my periods didn't come back after delivery, ACT chemo, and tamoxifen. About a year after coming off tamoxifen (so no period for 2.5 years at this point), I started acupuncture. Three months later my periods started and within 3 more months they were regular (every 28-31 days). I stopped going to acupuncture for a while...my periods stopped....started going again...they came back. I'm a huge believer!
Unfortunately the chemo had damaged my egg quality and I was never able to have a successful pregnancy. My FSH was undetectable.
Good luck!

dear zinzouna,
have your periods returned? i would try acupuncture, and see an RE. perhaps an ivf cycle can work for you? fertility clinics have programs for cancer patients. good luck. i felt sad to see your post. i really hope you get your periods back dear.
the reason no one replied may be because it is not as common for reproductive aged women to be diagnosed. i know it's not that rare, just trying to comfort you. or, maybe, no one in that situation reads these boards.
i started a post on fertility preservation and i am also disappointed that no one has replied. oh well.
i hope you are ok. good luck!
hugs.

I was 26 when I was diagnosed in 2009. Did TCH chemo, zoladex shots, and 5 years of Tamoxifen. I stopped tamoxifen about a year ago, and I got my periods back in about a month. However, my husband and I have been trying to get pregnant since then, and no luck. My test results show that my FSH level is that of someone who's late 30s/early 40s instead of my real age (33).
I don't know if this is helpful for you, but there really isn't a lot of information out there for people in our situation. If others have had good luck with accupuncture, I say go for it! I might try it myself. It can't hurt. Good luck!

there is a thread called coming off tamoxifen to have a baby. I recommend going on there. I'm sure there are different ladies on there now than when I was posting there but I found that thread very useful and reassuring.
Also, after I came off tamoxifen and tried to get pregnant my FSH was OVER 100!!! I did conceive after that. I miscarried and decided to stop trying but I think I might have had another baby if I kept at it. I say this so you know that even if your hormone tests don't look good, it doesn't mean that you won't conceive.
Good luck!
