I am going to have a stacked diep with Dr Allen in September.  I was wondering about whether or not there is any nerve damage in the tummy area with a diep.  Any numbness? Does it ever come back?

I don't know about the tummy, but I have completely in tact nerve endings on my backside after bilateral S-GAP. At first it was just a little numb, but now--it's all back to normal.

Yes, you will probably have a numb area after the DIEP.  It shouldn't be too large or bothersome.

I had a regular DIEP (not stacked) a little over 6 months ago and have a rather large area of numbness extending about 4 or 5 inches across my abdomen and from just above the newly created navel down to the scar line above the pubic area.  No pain or discomfort any more - just numbness.  I am not sure how much of this might resolve.  My PS says it takes a full year for everything to settle.  Best of luck.
