I am so sorry to hear about your mother's passing. I lost my father to a car accident and it was very painful and took me very long to get to a point in my grief that I could smile about my memories of him without crying. I wish you the very best in your healing.

I am a cancer survivor but I have Palb2 Gene and I am very active in trying to prevent a reoccurance . My primary focus is a whole foods diet rich in cruciferous , Flax seed and cooked mushrooms. I make Broccoli sprouts on my counter and throw them in my green salad everyday. They are cheap and easy to make in jars and you can have a fresh batch in a few days. Also Hopkins makes a Brassica tea that I am going to order because I need some portable greens. Another very easy way to do this is to buy "cruciferous crunch" salad mix from Trader Joes.

This is my favorite go to Recourse for dietary prevention. Just go to the search and watch everything on Breast Cancer. Its very well researched and very good. If you need help or advice we have a great thread in the lifestyle section about whole foods and recipes. Also feel free to pm me.
