I'm hungry from reading Karen's post! I'm going Easter Dinner shopping (ham, cheesy potatoes, Easter Basket treats etc.) later this morning, to hopefully beat the weekend shoppers crowd.

Enjoy your vacation, Falconer. All pictures with blue skies and palm trees are welcome!

I'll do Zumba this morning & yoga tonight; shopping, errands, maybe a little hanging out with the dogs in-between.

Back from our 3 month RV trip, and getting settled back in our home. Yesterday I did my classical stretch for the first time in forever, it felt so good. I had brought a set of DVD's with me on the trip, but while they played perfectly well at home, my computer decided not to recognize the DVD drive on the trip - and with limited internet in a lot of places, I was too cranky to try and find a solution. Hoping to become more active again that we are home - perhaps a walk in the woods before it rains?

kec - Nope, I'm not a vegetarian - love my beef and chicken!! and of course fish. The dishes I noted above are sides that I make. I'm cooking for both sedars, and have way too much food. DH smoked a brisket, 1/2 turkey breast and 2 whole chickens. I cooked meatballs, whole roast chicken and whole turkey breast tonight. Some of the food is for the week and some in the freezer for later. Tomorrow I need to make the gefilte fish, going to make a vegetable soup, mashed potatoes, potato kugel, asparagus, passover cookies - I'm sure I won't have to make much during the week as far as main courses!!

My DD#1 and SIL arrived this morning.

Sweet dreams

Falconer, I feel the same way as LilacBlue about seeing UCSB related photos! I went there for a while, though I ended up transferring and got my degrees elsewhere. However, I have colleagues there and am there every now and then for work. When I go for work I wonder why I didn't stay there for my entire college time! (but I was young and sort of boy focused back then and the boy in question was elsewhere....sigh).

Movers show up at nine am tomorrow! So it is time to get off the couch and start packing! I had thought I would at least make some Passover foods for tonight even though I am not having a formal Sedar this year, but I forgot that the kitchen will be all packed up! Maybe on Sunday...

Fritzmylove, I am also in Chicagoland-northern suburbs. I didn’t love the surprise snow Sunday but thankfully spring recuperated. Ruth I say pack away the winter stuff as a sign of defiance!

Falconer, I think if I had gone to UCSB I would have not left. Oh,and the wildflowers I posted appear to be bloodroot. I didn’t know but searched on wildflowers in our county forest preserves. Turns out we have marsh marigolds too, so I will have to look for those.

Claire I look forward to seeing tulip ride photos.

Finishing a 10K is a big accomplishment, Jo. Congratulations!

I went to Wake Up Yoga this morning. I brought a puppy along with me to watch a college baseball game so got some extra walking in. (DS was doing yard-work so I volunteered to get her out of the way, as she'd be overly 'helpful' if given the chance.) I am doing the easy ham & cheesy potatoes menu for the Easter dinner, but did just make a cherry cheesecake & an orange/pineapple fruit salad to go along with the meal.

Ruth love you with the dogs. Jo, you are awesome and in pretty good shape for finishing, even when out of your comfort zone - I salute you! Octo, good on you for completing the packing. Weather has been delightful, sunny, clear and warm. Taught Pilates this morning at the spa, DH cooked a big Easter brunch and this evening dh & ds went to our favorite Nepalese restaurant. Given up chocolate for lent, so the dark chocolate coconut found this morning with my name on it has been a bit of brown haven. Day off tomorrow, so taking the high-speed to London with ds for lunch and take in the Tate Modern. Happy Holiday!

I did 41 miles of cycling through tulip fields and farmland yesterday. Quads protested, so in revenge, I cycled 21 miles today along local trails.

Happy Easter everyone!!! Rack of lamb with emmer farro and wild rice pilaf with shallots and oyster mushrooms (gathered during Thursday evening's run), asparagus, carrots, and rhubarb awaits.

Just reordered the farro and emmer flour from Bluebird Farms in the Methow Valley. Wonderful products, and I enjoy supporting such ventures, even if not cheap. - Claire
