I have been thinking about something. Back before I started with a therapist, I read in a lymphedema book about how the abdominal breathing can help with other things, such as hot flashes.

Now I have noticed since it got hot this summer (mid June) that my hot flashes are nearly gone---I am just overall warmer than normal. But the intense flashes come very seldom now.

I attributed this to getting used to the meds, or the change in weather, but now I am realizing it also began to ease when I started doing the special breathing.

Connection? Can't be sure, but it's likely. If you are still having hot flashes try increasing your abd. breathing. Just may help. Log in to post a reply

Golly,
I will have to try the breathing more often. Since we don't prescribe hormones much anymore... we have a lot with c/o hot flashes... Thanks for sharing!
