I am awaiting an appointment to see a le therapist, long wait here in u.k, so am trying to help myself with advice from you ladies till then. I am pretry sure this is not cellulitis but am being vigilant. My problem is that my underarm, side of back and top of breast scar is puffy has been a bit for 4 years since rads. Definifely more swollen but my main worry is that under that arm and in places down that arm the skin is warmer. I also get singing burning sensations under the armpit. the sensations come and go not constant.

I am not red or feverish or feel unwell and it is 3 weeks now so I think I have aggravated my mild le by heat pads on my middle back. Does anyone have increased skin wamth when you touch it. I know le causes burning sensations but the skin heat worries me. My dr. Is not worried and i should be grateful I am doing ok.

Any advice

Hi Maria,

We're sorry you're having these symptoms and for the worry you're having also. You're sure to get some great responses soon from the always helpful members here in the Lymphedema forum.

In the meantime, it may help to go to the main Breastcancer.org site's page on Lymphedema Signs & Symptoms for a full list of things to look for -- increased warmth is listed as a symptom, but you may want to see if you're also having any of the other signs.

We hope this helps and that you have answers soon!
