Water retention and leg discomfort

Had my third cycle of chemo a couple weeks ago. A few days afterwards I started experiencing leg swelling and tightness. Mostly in the calves but I'm now having buttock soreness, as if I did a ton of squats the day before. Anyone else have this??

I had an ultrasound which confirmed no blood clot. Now I'm asked to use compression stockings which doesn't really make a difference. Has anyone else had this? Did it go away after chemo? Did your doctor prescribed anything for water retention in the legs? It us so uncomfortable to walk from one side of campus to the other during my daily duties at work. Even to the parking lot.
