Is anyone else starting radiation in October? I was supposed to start today but it took them so long to do the x-rays and more markings that they mercifully postponed the treatment until tomorrow--which is October. I will be having 30 treatments over six weeks.

I'm getting excited about my trip this weekend. I'm heading to Port St. Lucie on Friday and then from there to Orlando on Sunday. I'll come back to Jax on Monday. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we don't have much rain.

I think I mentioned the magnolia tree that I'm trying to get cut down. One argument was that it never bloomed. Well, I came home two days ago and there were two beautiful white flowers. It's still not enough to want me to rake leaves everyday!

Kamboka, Your trip sounds fun. I am glad you did get to see it bloom. Before I moved to this house I built a house in Floral City, it backed up to a preserve with lots of Magnolia trees. Some of them had massive blooms. I had a small Magnolia in the front yard.

Maybe while I'm in PSL, I'll look at some color swatches and find a color I want.

I made it back from PSL and Orlando early this morning so I could work. PSL wasn't too bad as there was a little breeze but Orlando was blazing in the low 90s. My sister and husband require mask indoors, car, outdoors even though they have had the vaccine. I almost died from overheating with that hot mask on. I won't go back again until I have to take my mom. I'll only stay overnight. My sister is still spraying her shoes when she gets home. My cousin lives in downtown Orlando at Church street restaurants and bars. What a lovely location but it was a one bedroom and I 'slept' on the couch. I guess that's why I got up at 6am to leave.

Kamboka - And I'm heading to Orlando next Friday. Ugh! So far it is forecasted to be in the 90s every day except one day when it will be a cool 88 degrees! We normally go in the very beginning of May and it's not usually this hot. I have bought 2 handheld fans to carry with us as we walk around.

It's been an interesting couple of weeks here. My daughter got covid. We think from one of the kids in the elementary school classroom where she is observing/helping (for her degree). She just got over that and then on Sunday she was playing co-ed soccer and the goalie kicked the ball when she was close and it hit her very hard in the head. She had vision problems right away. Went to the urgent care on Monday and was diagnosed with a mild concussion. Thankfully, the doctor said she can go on the trip to Florida and do the rides as long as she doesn't do the rollercoasters right away. Phew! I didn't want to cancel my trip and she would've been upset too. I told her I was going to wrap her in bubble wrap and hand sanitizer for the next few weeks! LOL.

My daughter came home yesterday from college. We leave early Friday morning for Florida. Thankfully, the forecasted temps have dropped into the mid to upper 80s while we are there. I've packed enough clothes to be able to change into another outfit if I get too sweaty, lighter weight clothes, handheld fans, lots of sunscreen, etc. The highs here at home will only be in the 60s this week and our highs are colder than Florida's lows. Ugh. It's not normally that cold this time of the year and it will be quite a change when we get to Florida.

A coworker of mine from work just told me her family dr thinks she has breast cancer and it may have metastasized. She only just turned 50 and had breast cancer around 6 or 7 years ago. She was having tingling in her cancer side breast and was having a harder time breathing. Her son is a nurse and said to get checked out. They found a lump in her breast and a couple of nodules on her lungs. She should officially find out the biopsy results this week. She has a great attitude, though.
